Like its predecessor, Nintendo Switch Sports will make use of motion sensing controls to allow players to play virtual sports. The game will include some sports from Wii Sports as well as a few new ones including soccer and volleyball. Nintendo will also be supporting the game post-launch with updates that will add more sports. Although there are plenty of reasons to get excited about Nintendo Switch Sports, it is strange that Nintendo waited so long to release a game that gamers desperately needed....

According to Nintendo of America’s Twitter, sales of the Nintendo Switch have now surpassed 10 million units sold. That figure comes directly from Nintendo and, impressively, three whole months before the Switch even celebrates its first birthday. In traditional Nintendo fashion, the company also took the time to shout out its millions of fans for what has been a complete turnaround of the gaming giant’s fortunes, expressing its gratitude in the form of a stylized graphic to accompany the tweet:...

Originally promising a paid model to be rolled out early in the Fall of 2017, Nintendo’s fee-based service appears to be facing another delay. In the product description on the Nintendo Italy website, the blurb previously mentioned that the the Switch’s online service will be available free of charge until the service officially launches in the Autumn of 2018. Interestingly enough, since the original story broke, the description has since been amended so that the site no longer gave a time frame of Fall 2018....

Nissan will invest $500 million into the Canton assembly plant over the next few years. It’s the latest in a total of $13.5 billion the company has invested in manufacturing vehicles in the U.S. The investment covers personnel retraining and upskilling of nearly 2,000 jobs. Canton’s plant employs approximately 5,000 people and has built nearly 5 million vehicles since opening in 2033. The manufacturing facility currently builds four models: Altima, Frontier, Titan and Titan XD....

Over 200 residents of the homes have died throughout the pandemic, and the settlement applies to families of 119 who filed notices of intent to sue, but hadn’t filed lawsuits over alleged negligence yet, according to attorney Paul da Costa. Da Costa’s law firm represents 72 of the 119 claimants, and he said his group will receive about $32 million of the settlement, according to The Associated Press. “This settlement of course does not replace their lost loved ones who served their countries honorably, but it certainly represents a good measure of civil justice,” da Costa said....
