No Man’s Sky is a rare sort of creative gem within a vast sea of games, full to the brim with more planets and star systems than any one person would not be able to completely explore in a lifetime. The game’s infamously rocky launch in 2016 only allowed the indie title to achieve what some believe to be the greatest redemption story in the history of gaming, with large and consistent content updates landing in the laps of players one after the other, and at no additional cost. With every update, the gorgeous universe of No Man’s Sky is populated with even more to see, including new types and configurations for players’ starships.

Although spaceships are hardly a new sight to see in video games, many No Man’s Sky fans agree that this game has some truly unique designs when it comes to spacecraft. This aesthetic inspired the Reddit user NorthStarSon to begin designing and building their own Lego starships based on designs from the game, perhaps even modeled after some of the player’s own in-game ships. The post shows the creator’s latest design, featuring an impressive build based on a fighter-class starship from No Man’s Sky. This isn’t the user’s first No Man’s Sky-themed build, either, and fans are encouraged to view some of their other projects.

These sorts of awesome projects represent the creativity of the No Man’s Sky community, which many would consider one of its defining qualities. After all, No Man’s Sky players have become somewhat famous over the past few years after forming entire galactic civilizations by cooperating with one another, claiming large chunks of the in-game universe to populate with community-made cities and outposts which anyone is welcome to contribute to.

Although some parts of No Man’s Sky’s most recent update, Waypoint, have been met with mixed reactions from players, the community as a whole continues to grow and thrive thanks to Hello Games’ continued support for the game. While the team of developers allegedly have another ambitious project currently in the works, Hello Games founder Sean Murray promises that the team is nowhere near finished with No Man’s Sky. With plenty of future content to look forward to and many more planets to explore, creativity from the game’s community fortunately shows no sign of slowing any time soon.

No Man’s Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
