Family Party: 30 Great Games Winter Fun

System: Wii

Price: $39.99

The title of this game can summarize the concept better than I can, but if you can’t pick up on it than there are most likely 30 “Great Games” all with a winter theme. Something for the kids anyway.

Imagine: Reporter

System: DS

Price: $29.99

Yet ANOTHER Imagine game is added to the series today. This one puts your little girl, or confused little boy, in the shoes of a field reporter that is trying to make it big. You track stories and interview fictional sport superstars and celebrities on your quest for your very own news show.

WiiWare

5 in 1 Solitaire

Price: 500 Wii Points

Based on the popular card game, Solitaire, this game offers you 5 different ways to play. Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Golf, and Gaps are the 5 different games you will be able to play, but for less than $5 you could just play a real game of cards.

Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 5

Price: 1,000 Wii Points

Picking up where Chapter 4 left off, you must save what little is left of the Caribbean before it’s too late! This is the last chapter in the classic Tales of Monkey Island game. If you own the other chapters in this series than you should probably pick this up too… only downside is that for the whole collection it’s $50!

Tumblebugs 2

Price: 800 Wii Points

I didn’t know there was a Tumblebugs to base a Tumblebugs 2 on, but apparently there is. The game has titled itself an “action-puzzler” so it may be worth a try.

Virtual Console

Alex Kidd in Shinobi World

System: Sega Master System

Price: 500 Wii Points

This is a combination of Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Shinobi. The game was never released in Japan, which really is irrelevant and off-topic, but the press release felt the need to state that. You battle some familiar foes, alond with some NINJAS! It’s a well known fact that any game with ninjas can’t be terrible.

DSiWare

5 in 1 Solitaire

Price: 200 DSi Points

Same game as the one that was released on WiiWare, but less money.

DOWNTOWN TEXAS HOLD’EM

Price: 500 DSi Points

Card games seem to be all the rage lately, because we seem to see at least one every flippin’ week! This is poker. Get it? Got it? Good.

Legends of Exidia

Price: 800 DSi Points

An army of demons called Morgost has invaded Exidia. You must defeat the demons and restore the kingdom to its once glorious self. You will battle the Morgost, but not by yourself. You will have Princess Sofia to help you out.

Move your Brain Rollway Puzzle

Price: 500 DSi Points

Roll a ball through a maze. Sounds easy, but the catch is you have to use the DSi’s built in camera to move your ball. There is a timer for each level, so you better be quick!

True Swing Golf Express

Price: 800 DSi Points

Play golf without the fear of being betrayed by golf-icon Tiger Woods. This is just golf. There’s no Mario, nothing standout awesome, and no point in spending $8 on it.

That ends this week’s releases. Nothing too great, so I would suggest holding onto your money for games such as Pokemon Soul Silver and Heart Gold, Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, and all of the games that we will get our hands on in the coming months.

What did you think of the releases this week? Do you awesome readers even want to know about games like Imagine: Reporter or do you just want the good stuff?
