But enough of this gibber jabber, let’s take a look at what’s hitting Nintendo’s virtual library this week.
Retail
No Releases this Week… but you can check out Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, which released last week for Wii!
Virtual Console
Pilotwings
System: SNES
Price: 800 Wii Points
Nintendo’s anticipated Super Nintendo game, Pilotwings, has finally hit the Wii’s virtual library! The game dabbles in all sorts of aviation, including piloting a plane, hang gliding, and sky diving… I guess that last one isn’t really flying, it’s falling with style.
WiiWare
Castlevania The Adventure ReBirth
Price: 1,000 Wii Points ($10)
Did you ever play Castlevania The Adventure on the GameBoy? This is the same game with tweaked graphics, though for for some reason that doesn’t make me want it any less!
Eat! Eat! Fight!
Price: 1,000 Wii Points ($10)
Make sure you check out the official Eat! Eat! Fight! press release from TECMO, “Forget about being healthy. Here’s a game that celebrates eating, getting fat and fighting.” I might buy this just because the concept is so ridiculous!
Rabbids Lab
Price: 500 Wii Points ($5)
This game is similar to Rabbids Go Home, minus the shopping cart, story, and overall fun. You get the Rabbid in his Wii-Mote, and you can dress him up anyway you want… yes!
The Magic Obelisk
Price: 500 Wii Points ($5)
This game has some hype behind it, we mentioned it in our last Weekly Nintendo Update. This game challenges the player to stay within the shadows and help trees plant roots! Believe me, it’s much better than it sounds!
DSiWare
Arcade Hoops Basketball
Price: 200 DSi Points ($2)
This game uses the DSi’s touch screen and has you employ the stylus to score sick baskets in a free-throw competition! That’s about it, but what did you expect for $2?
Glow Artisan
Price: 500 DSi Points ($5)
Like puzzles? If the answer to that question is a resounding “yes” than you’re in luck! Glow Artisan allows you to use photos you have taken with the DSi camera and make puzzles out of them! The game also feature over 100 puzzles pre-loaded puzzles (just in case you don’t feel like annoying your friends and family by trying to capture their image on your DSi).
Master of Illusion Express: Psychic Camera
Price: 200 DSi Points ($2)
Another installment in the seemingly endless Master of Illusion Express series, this game uses the DSi’s camera to “reveal” what the person is thinking about. At the rate they are going they should have something that can see through people’s clothes any day now!
Sudoku Sensei
Price: 500 DSi Points ($5)
The word Sensei implies that this is for skilled sudoku players. If you are planning on losing your sudoku virginity, I would not recommend trying to start with this game.
The Oregon Trail
Price: 800 DSi Points ($8)
It’s the classic computer game now conveniently in the palm of your hand! If you didn’t know already, this game, though not a direct port of the 80’s education title, is about the early pioneers in the U.S. of A. trying to find a place they can finally call home… just be prepared to lose a few of your children to dysentery.
There you have it folks the releases this week! I hope you guys have a wicked New Years Eve and a Happy New Year! (Game Rant does too of course).
Are you going to be buying any of these titles? What game do you hope hits the VC in the near future?
