Whether due to Joy Con drift, general wear and tear, or standard controller abuse, several games may find themselves in need for a new Nintendo Switch controller moving forward. Controllers aren’t cheap, though, but luckily, they can usually be found on sale.

Currently, Walmart is hosting a sale on an Nintendo Switch pro controller, which typically costs $69. It can be purchased now for a short time at 16% off, which brings that total down $10 to $59. $10 is nothing to scoff at, so those in need of a controller would do well to grab it up as soon as possible.

There’s several features that make this choice one better than a new pair of Joy Cons. The Nintendo Switch pro controller comes with motion controls, HD rumble, built-in amiibo functionality, can be used docked or undocked, a sturdy grip, a charging cable, and has the intriguing circuit detail on the front. Whether use now with a fighting game like Super Smash Bros., put aside for the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or paired with the new coral-colored Nintendo Switch, it’s practically a must-have for Switch fans.
It would even come in handy with the new Nintendo Switch Cooking Mama game that recently leaked, should it prove to be true. It is said to feature blockchain technology, have a vegeterian mode, and perhaps a few unveiled new features, but it should nonetheless be taken with a grain of salt for now. After all, it leaked via a sketchy YouTube channel that was seemingly imitating the developer. It’s possible this was meant to be an internal test of the trailer, though that’s not for certain either.
